- Require notices to be written in plain language, not legal jargon
- Extend the public comment window before any rezoning vote
Open Council Workshops to the Public
- End closed-door 'workshop' sessions where real decisions get made before the public vote
- Require all council discussions involving spending or policy to be publicly noticed
- Livestream and archive all council workshop sessions
Conflict-of-Interest Disclosure
- Require council members to publicly disclose any financial interest in development projects they vote on
- Require recusal from votes where a direct conflict exists
- Publish a public, searchable disclosure database
Independent Ethics Review
- Support an independent ethics board to review complaints against elected officials
- Ensure board members are appointed independently of sitting council members
- Require public reporting of ethics complaint outcomes
